Toyota Cars

Toyota Motor Corporation is currently the largest automobile manufacturer in the world. The company is slightly ahead of General Motors Corporation in terms of vehicle production. Toyota is a respected Japan-based company which has a number of subsidiaries under its wing. Brands such as Lexus, Daihatsu, Scion, and Hino fall under Toyota Corporation.

Toyota would probably be best known for its patented car called Corolla. The Corolla line of cars first appeared in 1966. It was originally designed to be the ideal family car for the Japanese general public. Over the years it has evolved into more than just that. The Toyota Corolla became a worldwide sensation with a total production of 30 million vehicles sold in over 140 regions and countries. The Corolla thus rightfully earned the title of being the Global Standard Vehicle of the Twenty-First Century.

Toyota Motor Corporation also addresses the issue on global warming by designating a special division to create cleaner and greener cars. The company created the Hybrid Synergy Drive division which focuses on the creation and innovation of fuel cell and hybrid cars. The company has its share of battery powered vehicles at the moment and is planning to expand its line of environment-friendly vehicles in the near future. Toyota is really abiding its philosophy of “going forward” and is leading the world to the future ahead.
